TPAO begins natural gas production in Pakistan's Sukhpur-II Block

Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı (TPAO) has commenced natural gas production at the Lundali-1 well within the Sukhpur-II Block in Pakistan. TPAO holds a 15% stake in the block, partnering with Pakistani firms Prime Global Energies, OGDCL, and MARI.

To date, the Lundali-1 well has produced 103 million cubic meters of natural gas. The well is currently producing approximately 10 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (MMscfd). This development is part of Turkey's broader strategy to expand its international energy presence and reduce external dependency.

Future operations in Pakistan are expected to expand. The Barbaros Hayreddin seismic research vessel is scheduled to conduct seismic studies in the region. Turkey aims to participate in exploration across three offshore and two onshore sites in Pakistan, potentially acting as the operator for the maritime areas in partnership with local energy companies.
