TPBI modifies 25 public transport lines for Crosul Arenelor event

The Bucharest-Ilfov Intercommunity Development Association for Public Transport (TPBI) has announced temporary modifications to 25 public transport lines to accommodate the ‘Crosul Arenelor’ sporting event. The competition is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, between 09:00 and 11:00.

Traffic restrictions will affect several major areas, including Alexandru Constantinescu Street, Kiseleff Road, Calea Victoriei, Splaiul Independenței, Piața Unirii, and various boulevards leading toward Arena Națională. Total traffic restrictions on the section of Alexandru Constantinescu Street between Mărăști Boulevard and Arcul de Triumf Square will begin on Saturday, September 26, at 15:00 and last until Sunday at 12:00.

Specific route changes have been implemented for several lines. For example, on Saturday afternoon, Line 282 will follow a modified route through Mareșal Averescu Boulevard and Ion Mihalache Boulevard. On Sunday morning, Line 1 and Line 10 will also operate on altered paths to navigate the restricted zones.
