Túquerres hosts first Unified Action Fair for security

The municipality of Túquerres hosted the first ‘Unified Action Fair – United for Security,’ an initiative led by the Subsecretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana. The event brought together representatives from public forces, institutional entities, academia, the private sector, and local communities.

The fair featured 107 stands and approximately 300 participants, offering services and information across five key areas: security and prevention, institutional services, university offerings, commercial displays, and entrepreneurship. This initiative is part of the ‘Nariño 360’ departmental strategy, which aims to provide an integrated territorial vision of security by coordinating different sectors to meet community needs and strengthen institutional presence.

During the event, the Governor of Nariño emphasized that such spaces increase the visibility of security institutions and highlight the necessity of multi-actor participation in community protection. Officials noted that the presence of the Army and Police serves to strengthen the connection between authorities and citizens. The event was also coordinated with the Túquerres Mayor's Office through the ‘Túquerres Avanza Seguro’ strategy.
