Trà Khúc 1 Bridge construction begins in Quảng Ngãi
Construction has officially commenced on the Trà Khúc 1 Bridge project in Quảng Ngãi province, Vietnam. The project represents a total investment of approximately 2,199 billion VND.
The bridge is designed as a self-anchored suspension bridge with a main length of 577.55 meters and a width of 28 meters. A distinctive architectural feature of the project is its design inspired by the 'bờ xe nước' (traditional water wheel), utilizing three consecutive steel rings to reflect the local cultural heritage of the Trà Khúc River.
The project includes a main route totaling over 829 meters and will be accompanied by synchronized infrastructure such as connecting roads, intersections, river embankments, and lighting. Officials noted that the existing bridge, which is over 60 years old, has deteriorated and can no longer meet the increasing urban traffic demands. The new bridge is expected to expand urban development space and stimulate socio-economic growth in the region.
