TR82 Region begins green economic transition consultation

A consultation process has been launched to analyze green economic opportunities and challenges in the TR82 region, which comprises the provinces of Kastamonu, Çankırı, and Sinop. This initiative is part of the Socially Inclusive Green Transition (SoGreen) Project, managed by the General Directorate of Development Agencies under the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

Coordinated by the North Anatolian Development Agency (KUZKA), the process aims to assess the current state of the region, identify regional opportunities and obstacles in the green transformation process, and integrate stakeholder perspectives into policy development. An online meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 17, at 14:00 to facilitate a holistic evaluation based on the experiences of various stakeholders.

To support the analysis, stakeholders including public institutions, professional organizations, environmental and social NGOs, and local businesses are requested to complete a survey by the end of business on September 16, 2026. The findings from these consultations will contribute directly to the Green Economic Opportunities and Challenges Analysis, helping to shape regional roadmaps and policy recommendations.
