Trabzon City Hospital scheduled to open in November

Turkish Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu has announced the planned opening date for the Trabzon City Hospital, which is scheduled to begin operations in November.

During his announcement regarding the status of city hospitals across Turkey, Memişoğlu provided timelines for several other facilities. The Ordu City Hospital is expected to open within a few weeks, while the Şanlıurfa City Hospital is slated for October 2026 and the Sakarya City Hospital for January 2027. Additionally, hospitals in Rize, Diyarbakır, and Mardin are targeted to open in stages starting from 2027.

In the Tekirdağ region, the Ergene State Hospital is set to open in a few weeks. Further investments include a new 100-bed state hospital at the site of Tekirdağ's old hospital and a 250-bed additional building in Çorlu.

Memişoğlu highlighted that Turkey currently maintains 271,000 patient beds and employs approximately 1.5 million healthcare workers. He emphasized the nation's transition from merely providing healthcare services to becoming a producer of health technology.
