Trabzon Gastronomy Festival to feature cooking contests and concerts

The Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality will host the Trabzon Gastronomy Festival from October 28 to November 1, 2026, at the Yenimahalle Fairground. The event aims to promote the city's culinary heritage and pass its traditions to future generations through various competitions, workshops, and musical performances.

Cooking competitions include ‘Future Chefs’ for high school students, ‘From Campus to Table’ for university students, and ‘Delicious Harmony’ for couples focusing on Black Sea seafood. Additionally, the festival plans to attempt a record for the longest stretching of kuymak, a signature local dish.

The musical lineup features Tuğçe Kandemir, Resul Dindar, Feridun Düzağaç, and Onur Atmaca, with performances scheduled throughout the four-day event. Other activities will include workshops led by famous chefs, public talks, and workshops for children.
