Trabzon hosts second-hand goods and donation program
The fourth annual “Atsan Atılmaz, Satsan Satılır” (If you throw it, it is not lost; if you sell it, it is sold) program was held at the Historical Eurasia Market in Trabzon. Organized by the AK Party Ortahisar Women's Branch, the event focuses on second-hand goods sales, exchanges, and donations to reintegrate unused items into the economy and prevent waste.
Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç attended the opening, emphasizing the importance of women's labor and production. He noted that the initiative aims to support social responsibility projects, citing previous support for children with SMA as an example. Genç also expressed intentions to transform the Historical Eurasia Market into a significant tourism destination where visitors can find local products.
Ortahisar District Women's Branch President Gülsüm İmamoğlu stated that the project's primary goal is to deliver surplus goods to those in need, thereby strengthening the culture of sharing and solidarity within the community.
