Trabzon Mayor Announces Annual Family Festival After Popular Closing Event

Trabzon Metropolitan Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç attended the closing ceremony of the city’s Family Festival, an event organized by the municipality in cooperation with the local education directorate. The two‑day festival featured workshops on traditional crafts such as weaving, paper relief, calligraphy, jewelry design and recycling‑material projects, as well as a concert by the retro group “Seksenler Doksanlar”. High public interest was reported.

Mayor Genç announced that the Family Festival will be held every year, linking it to the presidential “Family and Population 10‑Year (2026‑2035)” vision aimed at supporting families and maintaining Turkey’s demographic structure. Municipal officials, the AK Party Women’s Branch, and numerous citizens participated in the closing program.
