Trabzon Mayor engages in diplomatic and administrative meetings

Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç has engaged in high-level diplomatic and administrative meetings to promote the city's development and international standing.

In Ankara, Genç and AK Party Deputy Chairman Sezgin Mumcu met with various high-ranking officials and bureaucrats from Trabzon who hold significant positions in national institutions. These visits included meetings with leaders in social services, aviation, energy, education, and migration management, aiming to leverage the city's influential network of officials in the capital.

Additionally, Genç hosted a delegation of European Union ambassadors to Trabzon. Led by Aivo Orav, Head of the EU Delegation to Türkiye, the group included ambassadors from several EU member states, including Portugal, Poland, the Netherlands, Estonia, Belgium, Ireland, Austria, Finland, Croatia, Luxembourg, Greece, France, Lithuania, Denmark, and Sweden. During the visit, Genç presented the city's economic, cultural, and tourism potential, highlighting Trabzon's historical role as a trade hub and its growing international reach, noting that citizens from 188 different countries visited the city last year.
