Trabzon Mayor Genç promotes Ligarba production at local festival

Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç attended the 15th Culture, Art, and Ligarba Festival in Yomra Demirciler Village. During the event, Genç emphasized the importance of preserving local traditions and cultural heritage for future generations.

Genç highlighted the economic potential of Ligarba, describing it as a medicinal aromatic plant that holds approximately two to three times the economic value of hazelnuts. He called for increased production and support for this crop to strengthen the regional economy.
