Trabzon Mayor hosts Omani delegation and invites Egypt coach

Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç has hosted a high-level delegation from Oman to study Turkish municipal practices. The Omani delegation, including officials from North Al Sharqiyah, Muscat, and Al Wusta, sought to learn about local government systems, urban planning, project financing, and public-private partnerships to assist in developing Oman’s new municipal framework.

In a separate development, Mayor Genç extended an invitation to Egypt’s national team coach, Hüsam Hasan, to visit Trabzon. This follows the transfer of star footballer Mohamed Salah to Trabzonspor, an event that has reportedly boosted tourism and strengthened sports and economic ties between Turkey and Egypt. Hasan expressed interest in visiting the city to watch Salah play.
