Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality approves 500 million TL credit

The Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality has approved a 500 million TL credit request to fund various municipal operations and urban development. Approximately 200 million TL of this credit is earmarked for the Esentepe Neighborhood Urban Transformation Project. To support these efforts, the municipality also approved a capital increase for TBB Gayrimenkul, raising its capital from 110 million TL to 310 million TL.

Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç noted that the urban transformation in Esentepe involves the expropriation of parcels smaller than 30 square meters to facilitate development.

In addition to urban renewal, the municipality is focusing on long-term infrastructure projects. These include the Uzunkum Living Area, a 750-acre site featuring a 250-acre beach, and a new cultural center. Other major developments under coordination with national ministries include the South Ring Road, the city hospital, and the airport. The municipality also plans to implement a full-incineration waste management system in the Araklı and Arsin regions to resolve odor issues and generate energy.
