Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality opens accessible gazebo in Ganita

The Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality has opened a specially designed accessible gazebo at Ganita Sahil Park to support individuals with special needs and their families. The project was developed in response to requests from citizens to ensure more comfortable and equitable participation in social life.

The initiative originated from a request made by Neşat Paksoy, President of the Association to Make Special Individuals Happy, along with association members Arif Fidan and Memduh Bayraktar. Following instructions from Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç, the municipality implemented the design to allow families to enjoy the coastal area with greater ease and freedom.

During the opening ceremony, Deputy Mayor Ahmet Yüksel Gülay emphasized that providing services to individuals with special needs is both a municipal duty and a human responsibility, noting the importance of making the city more livable through such targeted accessibility improvements.
