Trabzon Tourism Offices Serve 3,168 Visitors in July, Saudi Tourists Lead

In July, the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality’s tourism offices assisted a total of 3,168 visitors, both domestic and international. The Meydan Tourism Police Office served 1,539 tourists (563 locals and 976 foreigners), the newly opened office beneath the historic municipal building helped 529 visitors (265 locals, 1,264 foreigners), and the Uzungöl office provided guidance to 100 tourists (37 locals, 63 foreigners). Saudi Arabian citizens were the most frequent foreign guests, with 1,106 arrivals, followed by visitors from Jordan, Russia, Iraq, Palestine, Azerbaijan, Oman, Iran, Georgia and China. Staff reported high satisfaction among tourists, especially those from Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Russia, who appreciated receiving assistance in their native languages. The offices offer information in seven languages—English, Russian, Georgian, Serbian, Armenian, Arabic and German—and distribute free brochures and maps in Turkish, English, Russian, Georgian and Arabic.

The service aims to promote Trabzon’s historic, cultural and natural attractions, local cuisine, transportation options and travel routes, while promptly addressing visitor feedback and inquiries.
