Trabzon Toy Museum project nears completion

The Ortahisar Municipality is nearing the completion of its Toy Museum project in Trabzon, Turkey. The museum will be housed in a historic mansion located on Sarayatik Street and is designed to enrich the city's cultural and social life.

Writer and poet Sunay Akın, who will help establish the museum, recently inspected the ongoing renovation works alongside stage designer Ayhan Doğan and municipal officials. Akın expressed his commitment to the project, stating, “I will bring the Toy Museum to the city that made me.” He noted that the museum is intended to gain international recognition and will feature a collection spanning from the 1700s to the present day.

Renovation work is scheduled to be completed by November 2026, after which the museum will begin inventory and installation processes. The facility is planned to include a cafe and relaxation areas, serving as a new social hub for the city.
