Trabzonspor and Ferencváros drawn in UEFA Europa League play-offs

Trabzonspor and Ferencváros are set to face each other in the play-off round of the 2026/27 UEFA Europa League season. The two teams have previously met twice during the 2022/23 UEFA Europa League group stage, resulting in one win for each side and a total aggregate score of 3-3.

In their first encounter on September 8, 2022, in Budapest, Ferencváros won 3-2 despite playing with ten men after Civic received a red card in the 16th minute. The goals for the Hungarian side were scored by Tokmac Nguen (two penalties) and Adama Traoré, while Maxi Gómez and Umut Bozok scored for Trabzonspor.

The second meeting took place on November 3, 2022, in Trabzon, where Trabzonspor secured a 1-0 victory through a goal by Anastasios Bakasetas.

The upcoming play-off first leg is scheduled for August 20, 2026, at Papara Park in Trabzon, with the second leg following on August 27, 2026, at the Groupama Aréna in Budapest.
