Trabzonspor Basketbol defeats Sabah BK 100-83 in Champions League

Trabzonspor Basketbol secured a 100-83 victory against Azerbaijan's Sabah BK in the second week of the Basketball Champions League group stage. Playing at the Hayri Gür Sports Hall, the Turkish team established an early dominance, leading the first quarter 35-12.

Although Sabah BK improved in the second quarter, Trabzonspor maintained a 13-point lead at halftime. The team regained control in the third quarter, outscoring their opponents 21-10 to enter the final period with a 24-point advantage. Despite a stronger offensive effort from Sabah BK in the fourth quarter, Trabzonspor held on to win, marking their second consecutive victory in European competition.

Head coach Selçuk Ernak noted that while the offensive performance in the first and third quarters was strong, the team needs to analyze the fluctuations experienced during the second quarter. American point guard Troy Caupain emphasized the importance of starting with high energy but highlighted the need for increased defensive focus following mental and physical lapses during parts of the match.
