Trabzonspor defeats Samsunspor 3-0 as Thomas Reis sets club records

Trabzonspor secured a 3-0 victory against Samsunspor in the 7th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig. Under the management of German coach Thomas Reis, the team achieved several historic milestones during the match.

Reis became the first foreign manager at Trabzonspor since Şota Arveladze in 2015 to win his first two league matches. Additionally, he is the first foreign coach in Süper Lig history to lead a team to score three or more goals in each of his first two league outings. The club also matched a 36-year-old record by scoring three goals in the first half of two consecutive league matches, a feat last achieved in October 1990.

Following the match, Thomas Reis commented on the performance, noting that a red card was a significant error but asserting that his team was the deserving winner. He also expressed well wishes for his former club, Samsunspor, stating that they “should stay in the league” despite their current difficulties.
