Trabzonspor eyes Bamba Dieng signing as Felipe Augusto departs
Trabzonspor reached a principle agreement with Russian side Zenit to transfer Brazilian striker Felipe Augusto, opening a vacancy in the attacking line. The club quickly turned to Ligue 1 forward Bamba Dieng, a 26‑year‑old Senegalese international whose contract with FC Lorient expires on 30 June 2026. Dieng has scored 10 goals in 22 league matches this season and can also operate on the left flank.
Trabzonspor’s scouting list also includes Polish striker Tomas Bobcek and Portuguese youngster Gustavo Varela, but Bamba Dieng is listed as the primary target. Negotiations are underway over transfer fees and the player’s wage demands, with the Turkish side seeking a deal that fits its budget while securing the forward’s services.
The move aims to replace Augusto’s departure and bolster the club’s front‑line ahead of the new season.
