Trabzonspor eyes Premier League winger Evann Guessand in €30m transfer pursuit

Turkish club Trabzonspor has announced serious interest in signing Ivory Coast winger Evann Guessand from Aston Villa. Guessand, 25, joined Villa in August 2025 for a reported €30 million transfer from OGC Nice but has struggled to establish himself, making 21 league appearances with one goal and one assist and returning to the club after a loan spell at Crystal Palace ended without a permanent move.

The player is under contract with Aston Villa until 2030, and Trabzonspor is reportedly prepared to meet the original €30 million price tag, hoping to recover its investment. Initial talks were met with a negative response from Guessand, who expressed a desire to continue his career in the Premier League rather than move to Turkey. Nevertheless, the Turkish side says it will keep communication open and may revisit the deal if the player's circumstances change.
