Fabinho joins Trabzonspor to reunite with Mohamed Salah

Trabzonspor has officially announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fabinho. The 32-year-old, who most recently played for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, arrived in Trabzon via private jet to complete medical examinations and finalize his contract.

This transfer reunites Fabinho with former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah at the Turkish club. The duo previously enjoyed significant success together in England, winning titles including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

Upon his arrival, Fabinho expressed his excitement, stating, “I am very happy. I want to meet my teammates, the fans, and the city as soon as possible.” He noted that he has been maintaining his physical condition through individual training since his contract with Al-Ittihad ended. He also mentioned his intention to work closely with manager Fatih Tekke to fulfill his role within the squad.
