Trabzonspor schedules high‑profile friendlies against Eintracht Frankfurt and Al Sadd

Trabzonspor arranged a series of preseason friendlies against stronger opponents to assess its squad ahead of the new season. On 26 July the Turkish club will face Eintracht Frankfurt, the 2025‑26 Bundesliga side that finished eighth with an estimated squad value of €350‑400 million. Two days later, on 30 July, Trabzonspor will play Qatar Stars League champions Al Sadd, whose roster is valued at around €70 million.

The preparation continues with an 2 August match versus Udinese, the Italian Serie A team that ended the campaign in 10th place with a squad worth roughly €200 million. The final scheduled test is an 8 August game against Göztepe, organised as a tribute to former player İsmail Köybaşı. Club officials indicated that the tough schedule is intended to expose weaknesses in high‑tempo matches rather than against weaker sides, providing a realistic gauge of the team’s level before competitive fixtures begin.
