Trabzonspor parts ways with manager Fatih Tekke

Trabzonspor has officially parted ways with head coach Fatih Tekke by mutual consent following a period of poor performance, including a 5-0 aggregate loss to Ferencvaros in the UEFA Europa League play-offs and a recent 2-1 defeat to Amedspor. Tekke leaves after 539 days, having led the club to a Turkish Cup title last season.

Club President Ertuğrul Doğan stated that the search for a successor is underway, with a strong indication that the new manager will be a foreign national. Doğan explicitly denied rumors regarding the appointment of high-profile names such as Antonio Conte, Fatih Terim, Şenol Güneş, and Abdullah Avcı, noting that no formal discussions have taken place with them.

While Hüseyin Çimşir has taken charge of the team temporarily, various candidates are being considered. Reported names in the search include Vitor Pereira, Sergio Conceição, and Arda Turan. The club's management emphasized the need for a precise decision to ensure future stability, especially following the high-profile summer signings of Mohamed Salah and Fabinho.
