Trabzonspor targets Fabio Silva in loan bid for Borussia Dortmund

Trabzonspor has reportedly made an official offer to Borussia Dortmund to sign Portuguese forward Fabio Silva on loan, with an option to buy. The 24-year-old striker is being viewed as a tactical alternative rather than a direct replacement for Paul Onuachu.

Unlike the 2.01-meter Nigerian striker Onuachu, who serves as a traditional physical focal point and aerial threat, Silva is described as a more mobile and technically focused player. His playing style emphasizes close control, movement, and the ability to link play by dropping into deeper positions or drifting to the wings. This distinction is intended to provide Trabzonspor with greater attacking flexibility and fluidity.

Silva, who joined Dortmund from Wolverhampton for 22.5 million euros last season, recently scored in the German Super Cup final against Bayern Munich. He has recorded 52 goals and 28 assists across 249 career appearances.
