Trabzonspor to part ways with Denis Drăguș

Trabzonspor is expected to part ways with Romanian international Denis Drăguș this summer as the club seeks to reduce its number of foreign players. The decision follows the recent arrival of Mohamed Salah and advanced negotiations to bring Darwin Nunez to the club on loan from Al Hilal.

Journalist Yunus Emre Sel reports that Trabzonspor currently has 17 foreign players and plans to reduce this number to 14 to facilitate new signings. Alongside Drăguș, the club intends to release Batista Mendy and John Lundstram, while Rene Mitongo is expected to be loaned out.

Drăguș, who joined Trabzonspor from Standard Liege in 2024, has not featured in recent friendly matches during the summer training camp in Austria. While there is interest from FCSB regarding his transfer, negotiations are reportedly stalled because FCSB is unwilling to pay a transfer fee, whereas Trabzonspor is refusing to let him leave on a free transfer.
