Trabzonspor's Paul Onuachu poised to exceed 22‑goal tally after Mohamed Salah joins

Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu, who finished the 2025/26 Turkish Süper Lig season as joint top scorer with 22 goals for Trabzonspor, is expected to improve his record following the arrival of Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah. Salah completed a two‑year deal worth roughly €17 million per season after leaving Liverpool and was unveiled at Papara Park in early March 2026.

Former Trabzonspor forward Emre Güral said Salah’s presence will create additional space for Onuachu, noting that opponents will have to split their defensive focus between the two attackers. Onuachu, 32, expressed his commitment to the club and optimism that the partnership will help him surpass his previous goal tally.

The signing is seen as a major boost for Trabzonspor’s attack, with Salah’s creativity and movement expected to provide more service to Onuachu in the final third of the pitch.
