Trachtenkapelle Elters/Rhön celebrates 100th anniversary

The Trachtenkapelle Elters/Rhön celebrated its 100th anniversary with a three-day festival in Elters. The jubilee included a festive service, a morning social, and various musical performances.

Founded in 1926, the band has a history of performing at major events such as the Munich Oktoberfest and has conducted concert tours in North and South America. In 2017, the ensemble won the European Championship for Bohemian-Moravian brass music.

The anniversary celebrations featured several guest bands and a special moment where Fulda District Administrator Bernd Woide conducted the piece ‘Vogelwiese’ alongside the Musikverein Mittelrode.
