Tractor SC to face Paykan in Iranian Premier League opener

Tractor SC is set to face Paykan FC in the opening match of the 26th season of the Iranian Premier League. The match is scheduled to take place at the Yadgar-e Emam Stadium in Tabriz on Friday, August 14, at 18:00.

Ahead of the fixture, Tractor head coach Javad Nekounam held a press conference to discuss the team's preparations. Nekounam expressed hope for a positive result and a successful season despite anticipated challenges. He noted that while the team has retained several key players and added new talent, limited time for tactical training has been a factor.

Addressing squad composition, Nekounam clarified that while the club has been negotiating for a midfielder, players like Ali Karimi were not under consideration for his specific plans. He also mentioned that negotiations for a Spanish assistant coach are ongoing and expected to be finalized soon, alongside the addition of a local assistant from Tabriz.
