Tracy Spiridakos Discusses Grizzly Bears and Horse Training on New Series Anna Pigeon

Actress Tracy Spiridakos said filming the USA Network series Anna Pigeon involved real wildlife, including grizzly bears and their cubs roaming the surrounding forest. The crew was warned to carry bear spray and the presence of the bears added authenticity to the show’s back‑country setting.

Spiridakos also explained that she had to learn to ride a horse and master basic wilderness skills for her role as park ranger Anna Pigeon. Co‑star Paulina Alexis similarly learned horseback riding and proper gun handling for her character. The production was shot in the Canadian forest, which Spiridakos described as “breathtaking” and a key element of the series’ atmosphere.
