Trade High School Burgas qualifies for Youthopia 2026 finals in Belgium

A team of five students from Trade High School Burgas, known as ‘Wave of Change’, has qualified for the finals of the European Innovation Camp – Youthopia 2026. The competition, organized by Junior Achievement Europe as part of the Re-Value project, will take place this November in Bruges, Belgium.

As the sole representatives of Bulgaria among teams from nine European countries, the students proposed a project to transform the seasonal coastline of Burgas into a year-round, climate-neutral youth oasis. The plan utilizes solar energy and kinetic water wheels to power the area, providing free access for young people to engage in learning, creativity, and social events through the use of intelligent technologies.

The school noted that this achievement supports Burgas's efforts to establish itself as a future European Capital of Culture.
