Trade Nation to acquire FXCM’s UK client book

Trade Nation, an FCA-regulated specialist in spread betting and CFDs, has agreed to acquire the UK client book of Stratos Markets Limited, which operates as FXCM and Tradu in the United Kingdom. The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, is intended to strengthen Trade Nation’s position in its home market by adding a significant community of experienced traders.

The transfer is expected to be completed in late November 2026. Both firms have developed a transition plan focused on client continuity and protection. Trade Nation’s CEO, Jon Noble, described the deal as a “significant step” for the company, while Chief Strategy Officer and UK CEO Matthew Wright noted the value of the FX business and longevity within the FXCM book.

The acquired client base consists primarily of retail traders, alongside a segment of professional clients that aligns with Trade Nation’s existing offerings. The bidding process for the client book was reportedly completed quickly after Trade Nation entered the process in July.
