Trade Republic and Bankinter lead August 2026 remunerated account rankings
Several banking institutions are offering competitive interest rates on remunerated accounts for August 2026. These accounts allow savers to earn returns on their balances without requiring payroll direct deposits or fixed-term commitments.
Trade Republic leads several rankings with a 3.00% TIN (3.04% TAE) on uninvested cash. The German-based issuer offers this rate without commissions or permanence requirements, with funds protected up to €100,000 by the German Deposit Guarantee Fund.
Bankinter provides high initial returns, with some offers reaching a 4.94% TIN (5% TAE), though these may involve specific linking requirements. Openbank, part of the Santander Group, offers a 2.47% TIN (2.50% TAE) for new customers, including incentives for linking Bizum and direct debits. Cajamar also features in the market with its Online Wefferent account, offering a 3% TIN for the first six months for new customers who activate Bizum.
