Trade Republic launches investment accounts for single-person holdings

Neobroker Trade Republic has expanded its services to include corporate clients through the introduction of a ‘Private Holding Account’. Launched on September 22, 2026, the service is specifically designed for sole shareholders of German GmbH or UG (haftungsbeschränkt) companies who wish to manage corporate assets via the platform.

The account is strictly regulated and limited to single-person holdings; multi-person companies, partnerships, and freelancers are excluded. The onboarding process is entirely digital, requiring only the company’s commercial register number for verification.

Key features of the account include a variable annual interest rate of 2.5% on uninvested capital, which is not subject to a cap. These funds are invested in money market funds. While the account does not offer classic deposit insurance, the capital is held as segregated assets.
