Several new businesses are scheduled to open in the Acadiana region of Louisiana. Trader Joe's is set to open its Lafayette location on Thursday, September 17.

In Scott, El Paso Mexican Grill & Cantina will hold its grand opening on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 668 I-10 Frontage Road. The establishment is operated by the same owners as existing El Paso restaurants in the area.

Additionally, the former Blu Basil Asian Fusion restaurant on Johnston Street in Lafayette has been acquired by new owners. The space is expected to feature a new concept and name, though specific details regarding the new establishment have not yet been released.
