Traditional community festivals held in various German villages

Various traditional community festivals are scheduled or have recently taken place across different German regions.

In Rötenbach, the annual Dorfkirke, a tradition dating back to 1785, is set for August 14–17, 2026. The event features musical performances by the Rötenbach music band, rock music, and traditional brass music, alongside community services and social gatherings.

Kleinblittersdorf will host its 18th village festival on August 14 and 15, 2026, centered around the historic town hall. The program includes live music, a flea market, and community activities aimed at fostering local connection.

In Kleinottweiler, the recent Bohnekerb festival featured four days of celebrations, including a well-fountain festival and traditional activities led by the local youth group. The event included a ceremonial keg tapping performed by Bexbach Mayor Christian Prech.
