Traditional festivals held in Vilafranca and Cambrils

Traditional local festivals were celebrated in Vilafranca and Cambrils. In Vilafranca, the Festa de la Mare de Déu del Llosar marked the end of summer. The event included bell ringing, a musical parade by the Unió Musical de Vilafranca, and religious services led by the new chaplain, Jon Solozábal. Despite rain, the festivities continued with traditional dances and a community banquet.

In Cambrils, the Festa Major de la Mare de Déu del Camí concluded with various cultural activities. The celebration featured religious processions, traditional dances such as the Ball de Bastons, and performances by the Colla Gegantera Tota l’Endega and the Xiquets de Cambrils. Pyrotechnic displays, including the Ball de Diables, were a central part of the event, which concluded with the traditional Pastanaga dance in the town square.
