Traditional festivals scheduled in Buenavista del Norte and Alicante

Buenavista del Norte will celebrate its traditional Libreas this weekend as part of the patron saint festivities for Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios. The events, which highlight Canarian folklore and local identity, include a tournament on Saturday morning, a folklore festival, and traditional dances in La Alhóndiga street. The celebrations will continue into Sunday with religious services and a parade of floats and figures.

In Alicante, the Federation of Moors and Christians of Alicante (FMYCA) has scheduled its traditional 'Convivencias entre Festeros' for Sunday, October 25. The event will bring together various neighborhood entities for a day of music, gastronomy, and community engagement. The program includes a culinary competition for 'all i oli', children's activities, and a musical parade featuring representatives from the Altozano, Rebolledo, and Villafranqueza associations.
