Traditional gaucho festivals to be held in Argentina

Several traditionalist celebrations are scheduled across Argentina, featuring gaucho skills, music, and community gatherings.

In Alpachiri and Miguel Riglos, provincial festivals will take place on October 31, November 1, and November 15. The festivities in Alpachiri, organized by the Centro Tradicionalista El Lazo, will include calf roping, parades, and a special riding challenge between Martín Juárez and Enzo Vega’s “El Coronel”. Miguel Riglos will host the third Provincial Festival of the Apadrinador on November 15, organized by the Club Unión Miguel Riglos.

In Río Grande, the Agrupación Amistad will inaugurate a new traditionalist field at the La Chaqueña farm on October 24 and 25. The event will feature 40 riding competitions, chamamé music, and gastronomic offerings. Organizers have requested that entry be paid via non-perishable food items to support local families and community kitchens through the Cooperativa 18 de Diciembre.
