Traditional harvest and bread festivals held in Poland and Czech Republic

Traditional harvest celebrations and bread festivals were held in Warsaw, Poland, and Bystrzyca, Czech Republic.

The XXIII Warsaw Bread Festival took place on Krakowskie Przedmieście, featuring a wide variety of traditional sourdough and regional breads. The event included displays of regional cheeses, meats, and honey, alongside demonstrations of traditional food preparation such as baking sękacz and grinding grain. Visitors participated in workshops for baking bread and making butter, while also browsing local handicrafts like ceramics and woodwork.

In Bystrzyca, the Ecumenical Harvest Festival marked the end of the harvest season in the Zaolzie region. The event included an ecumenical service at an Evangelical church, traditional ceremonies performed by the Łączka ensemble, and a competition featuring 17 entries for the best homemade bread. The celebration also served as a farewell to Mayor Roman Wróbel, who is concluding his term in office.
