Traditional Kirchweih festivals celebrated in Stöckelsberg and Dirmingen
Traditional Kirchweih festivals were recently held in Stöckelsberg and Dirmingen, marking local cultural milestones.
In Stöckelsberg, the three-day celebration included the raising of a 30-meter Kirwabaum and various musical performances. Due to poor weather, the traditional tree-dancing competition took place in the heated Fürst-Festhalle. Lara Kosak and Noah Kellermann, both 18, were crowned the Stöckelsberger Kirwa-Oberpaar for 2026 after a 30-minute dance competition.
In Dirmingen, the community celebrated the 280th anniversary of its Kirchweih. The event featured the presentation of the new Kerwepaar, Anke I. and Enrico I. The festivities included a parade with a festival wagon and musical accompaniment from the Musikverein Harmonie Wiesbach. Local officials, including Mayor Andreas Feld and Ortsvorsteher Frank Klein, participated in the opening ceremonies to honor the long-standing tradition.
