Traditional Spanish attire showcased in regional cultural displays
Cultural heritage and traditional clothing are being highlighted through various regional displays in Spain. In Valdealgorfa, the Asociación Sempiterna has organized a reconstruction of late 19th-century mourning attire from the Bajo Aragón region. The exhibit features approximately twenty models wearing original garments, including men’s 'traje de mudar'—consisting of jackets, waistcoats, hemp shirts, and thick capes—and women’s traditional ensembles featuring silk damask skirts known as basquiñas, black shawls, and mantillas.
In Torrent, Amparo Taberner Moncholí has been presented in her official attire as the Fallera Mayor of Torrent for 2027. Her ensemble, designed by SC Indumentaria, utilizes narrow silk with a 'Santa Esmeralda' pattern in Eagle color. The outfit incorporates specialized craftsmanship, including accessories from Casa Viana, Mavimar, and Artesanía Domingo, emphasizing the preservation of Valencian textile traditions.
