Traditional Turkish Archery Championship continues in Karacabey

The Traditional Turkish Archery Bursalı Şüca Air Run Turkey Championship is entering its second day in the Karacabey district of Bursa. Organized by the Turkish Traditional Archery Federation, the three-day event features 204 athletes representing 21 different provinces.

During the second day of competition, male and female archers competed in categories involving 50 and 70 lb bow stiffness. Participants competed across various age groups, including 18-49 and those over 17. Following equipment inspections by referees, athletes performed shooting rounds, which were followed by official measurements to determine scores.

Naşit Gündoğan, a board member of the Turkish Traditional Archery Federation, noted that approximately 300 people are involved in the event, including athletes, referees, and technical staff. He expressed hope that the competition would result in new records. The championship is scheduled to conclude on October 25 with a medal ceremony attended by Federation President Abdullah Topaloğlu.
