Tradium inaugurates new automotive workshop for technician training

Tradium has inaugurated a new automotive workshop at its mobility center on Blommevej. The facility features 21 lifts and a flexible workshop area designed to accommodate up to 70 students. The expansion aims to provide training for both traditional internal combustion engines and modern electric and hybrid vehicles, reflecting recent changes in the profession where the curriculum has transitioned from 'car mechanic' to 'car technician'.

In related automotive news, Campus Bornholm recently hosted the regional championship for car mechanic apprentices. Eleven apprentices from six technical schools in the Eastern Region competed in tasks including troubleshooting and repairs. Mikkel Andersen from Campus Bornholm secured second place, earning the opportunity to represent Bornholm at the national championship in Vejle in April 2027.
