Trafalgar to absorb Insight Vacations and Costsaver brands
The Travel Corporation (TTC) is consolidating its touring portfolio by bringing the Insight Vacations and Costsaver brands under the Trafalgar name. The transition is scheduled to begin in September, with the individual brands expected to be phased out by 2027.
This restructuring aims to create a single “power brand” with a three-tier structure: Saver (formerly Costsaver), Classic (Trafalgar), and Premium (formerly Insight Vacations). The expanded Trafalgar portfolio will feature more than 600 itineraries across 75 countries, offering various travel styles including tours, small groups, river cruises, and rail journeys.
According to Andrew Young, Senior Vice President of Oceania sales for TTC Tour Brands, the move follows a review that found the existing brands were difficult for customers and travel agents to differentiate. The new hierarchy is designed to simplify the booking process for agents and improve customer progression within the company’s portfolio as travelers seek different levels of luxury and price points.
