Emergency services report multiple accidents and fires across the Netherlands

Emergency services in the Netherlands reported a series of accidents, fires, and police incidents across several provinces over the weekend.

In Gelderland, a cyclist died following a collision in Groesbeek, and a 14-year-old was airlifted to a hospital after a single-vehicle accident in Westkapelle. Other incidents included a person being injured at a restaurant in Ede and various vehicle accidents in Apeldoorn and Arnhem.

In Overijssel, police conducted a raid in Almelo regarding a robbery investigation, resulting in one arrest. Meanwhile, a farm in Markelo was destroyed by fire, and a vehicle was found burnt out at a sports park in Deventer, suspected to be an arson case.

Other notable reports include a restaurant fire in Terherne, a serious motorcycle accident in Ferwoude, and a death in a car in Veendam, which police confirmed was not due to a crime. In Groningen, a fire at a PreZero waste processing site caused smoke and odor issues.
