Traffic accidents in Argentina involve pregnant women

Two separate traffic accidents involving pregnant women occurred in Argentina on Sunday.

In Malargüe, a collision between a Peugeot 3008 and a Renault Duster at the intersection of Avenida Rufino Ortega and Fray Francisco Inalicán left four people requiring assistance. Among those affected was a 23-year-old woman who is 23 weeks pregnant; she was transferred to a local health center for monitoring. Other occupants involved included a 17-year-old, a 5-year-old, and two drivers aged 30 and 64. Authorities are investigating the causes of the crash.

On the Rosario-Córdoba highway near Arroyo Ludueña, a collision between a Chevrolet Corsa and a hybrid MG ZS resulted in two injuries. A 39-year-old pregnant woman, 22 weeks along, required emergency helicopter evacuation to a central clinic due to a head injury. The driver of the Chevrolet, a 62-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to the Hospital de Emergencias Clemente Álvarez (Heca) for cervical pain. Emergency services managed the scene while traffic was partially restricted.
