Paraná police indict four men for torture after fatal fall
The Civil Police of Paraná have indicted four men for torture resulting in death and unlawful imprisonment following the death of 27-year-old Alexandre Rodrigues Ramos. The victim died after falling from the 14th floor of an apartment in August.
Investigations revealed that the suspects confronted Ramos, accusing him of stealing a camera. According to police reports, he was locked in a room, tied with an extension cord, and subjected to physical and psychological abuse for approximately three to four hours. The suspects allegedly used knives, punches, and kicks, and forced him to ingest medication intended to induce unresponsiveness.
Forensic evidence suggests Ramos attempted to escape through a balcony, leading to the fatal fall. The case has been forwarded to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Paraná for further legal action.
