Police confrontations in Ivinhema and Cambé leave multiple dead

Two separate fatal confrontations between police and armed suspects occurred in Brazil.

In Ivinhema, Military Police officers from the 8th Battalion engaged in a shootout with two individuals on a motorcycle near BR-376. According to police, the suspects brandished firearms during the approach, leading to a confrontation that left both suspects dead after they failed to survive medical treatment. Both individuals reportedly had prior criminal records involving drugs and theft.

In Cambé, a confrontation involving three armed men in a Fiat Uno resulted in two deaths and one person seriously injured. The Military Police reported that the suspects attempted to flee during a patrol by the ROTAM team and reacted to police orders by pointing weapons at officers. Police seized three firearms and the vehicle following the incident.
