Traffic accidents reported in Croatia and Austria

Two separate traffic accidents occurred in Croatia and Austria involving heavy vehicles.

In Croatia, a truck carrying earth overturned into a ditch on the road between Štefanje and Blatnica. Police reported that the 43-year-old driver failed to adjust speed for the curve, causing the vehicle to hit the embankment and flip onto its side. The accident caused damage to the truck and road infrastructure, and the road was closed for nearly five hours to facilitate recovery and cleanup.

In Vienna, Austria, a city bus veered off the road and struck an advertising billboard in the Simmering district. Two people, a 48-year-old woman and the 33-year-old driver, sustained minor injuries. Authorities stated that the driver was operating the vehicle under the influence of narcotics, leading to the temporary revocation of his driver's license. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact role of the substances in the crash.
